Great seminar at RGDA NC!
Professor Adiv would like to thank all students who participated at yesterday's seminar at Armando Basulto's school in Ashville, NC and share with all the following message:
"I would like to point out that I was very impressed with their way of representing the RGDA and Gracie Humaita Team. I wish them to continue to develop and expand in the community. The RGDA NC new facility must be credited to our new Professor, Armando Basulto, and his wife Christine. I must mention that I experienced a very family oriented group of children, women and men that have an impressive record in competition and great knowledge of self-defense. If anyone is in the area, I recommend to go see this very unique part of the United States, the huge mountains that surrounds Ashville and enjoy some great Jiu Jitsu training there. Thank you all for having me. Sincerely, David."

My son, Aaron Carpenter, was very much a part of the team at the Basulto Academy of Defense up until the time of his death due to a car crash Jan. 5th of this year. The team all paid their respects not only at the funeral but on so many other levels. Professor Armando Basulto and his wife Christine treated my son as one of their very own at their home and at the Academy, for that I will always be grateful to them. For the first four months after Aaron's death I attended classes at least two or more nights weekly. Although I was just an observer sitting on the bench, this is the only place I could find peace and begin to try to heal from my loss. Armando, Chritine and the whole team make me feel like I am part of the Basulto family, always giving me their time, support and love. I would not have survived without them. They are the finest group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I am so proud to be part of their family. In addition to their constant kindness to me, they have mounted a shadowbox in honor of Aaron on the wall at the Academy with his belt , medals, photos and a plaque. This definitely fills my heart with pride and happiness for my son, but these are the kind of people that take pride in doing for their own!! All my love and gratitude go out to Team BAD in Waynesville, N.C. As Ever, Diane Carpenter
