GNJA Pan Championships 2010 News
Professor Adiv and all of us would like to congratulate Jason Tabor and Jason Pieretti on their performance and participation at the Pan Championships 2010 this weekend in Irvine, California.
Those watching the live stream of the event this afternoon were able to see Tabor's match. Jason, fighting at the Adult Black Belt Feather Weight, had a very exciting match that unfortunately went to his opponent Yoshinobu Kakizaw from Purebred. The match started with Yoshinobu pulling guard, playing the Delarriva, trying to go for the back and sweeping Jason, who quickly swept Yoshinobu back with the same exact sweep that Master Royler Gracie was showing us during the Oct/2009 seminar tour. It was very exciting to see Jason pulling out that move. The fight continued with much effort from both fighters, however it ended up 4-2, with his opponent moving on to win three more fights in the division.
Another GNJA athlete there was Jason Pieretti, competing at the Adult Purple Belt Middle Weight Division. Ironically both of Jason T. and Jason P. matches went in a similar way. With Jason Pieretti though, his opponent got the points and then simply stole the fight. Even though Pieretti tried hard, getting many advantages, he was not able to pass his opponent's half-guard.
RGDA's performance at this tournament has inspired all of us and we take this opportunity to report that Gracie New Jersey Academy is adding one more session for the Competition Team Training. The new dates for GNJA/RGDA HQ Competition Team Training are: TUESDAYS at 7:30pm - FRIDAY at 7pm and SUNDAY at 11am.
Professor Adiv thank the students from RGDA schools that have been participating of these sessions already and invite all RGDA Members to join as well. Special thanks to Professor Mrkulic's school in Montclair NJ, Darren's Branch from OH, RGDA Canada and RGDA MO, from whom we've had the pleasure to have their students visiting and training with at GNJA in the last few months.
We look forward to having everyone's participation in RGDA's goal to promote and support our fighters, creating a stronger and united team. Good job everyone!
Stay tuned for additional Competition Team Training opportunities at our RGDA Centers!

Great news! RGDA continues to represent at all the top tournaments.
Congratulations to all for your spirit and drive!
